Jeff currently serves as the leader of Music and Multimedia Ministries at the West Clayton Church of God in Clayton, North Carolina.
In addition, Jeff serves on the Pastor’s Council, teaches a bi-weekly teen study group, is involved with the men’s ministry, and authors the church’s web site (www.wccg.org).
Personal History
While attending school at NC State University, Jeff began traveling with a local music ministry called “A Joyful Noise”. At that time he began attending the West Clayton Church of God. After nine years of traveling with “A Joyful Noise”, Jeff and his wife Julie felt the Lord’s calling to become more involved in the local church, and he assumed his current role at that time.
During the last eight years, the ministry has grown to include the weekly worship services, a CD ministry, an outreach music ministry, and a films ministry.
Jeff considers himself privileged to lead a united worship team (where his wife is also a member) that has a heart for entering into the presence of God while keeping the focus on Jesus. He encourages each member of the music team to mentor younger musicians with their musical gifts. To that end, a youth praise band and youth choir are currently in the works.
Jeff also enjoys songwriting. His recent worship song, We Worship You, was selected in the 2007 Music Explosion Song Search to be published by SpiritSound Music Group.
Jeff resides in Clayton, North Carolina with his wife Julie and their two children Isaac, 8, and Joshua, 3.
